“Artists have the ability to make visible what everyone feels.” – Martha Graham
These photographs shot by Omar Carter Photography and Tracy B Photography are part of the chronicle of the dynamic and energetic Live Art Mural Project that was held September 19, 2011 at the New York Academy of Medicine. The mural project brought together 10 artists with a broad ranges of styles to produce works that illustrate the personal stories behind the startling data about the growing number of people impacted by non-communicable diseases. The library at the New York Academy of Medicine became an art studio for two days. High energy and creativity flowed through the space as members of the public came through to watch the works in progress. Omar Carter Photography can be found on twitter and Facebook.
